What is a Kairos Calendar?
What is a Kairos Calendar? ‘Kairos’ is the Greek word for ‘God’s timing’ which encapsulates seasons and periods that possess certain characteristics (harvest, fulfillment, etc.). What makes this calendar different from the Hebrew calendar is that I use only the God-given names for the months that are listed in the Bible. Also, these months are the basis from which time revolves around with the corresponding Gregorian dates as footnotes. Since God created and instituted time, I wanted something which honored this. Thus, the Kairos Calendar was born. “Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” (Mark 1:14-15)
